Rapid File Get
Version 1.0.0.14 for Win ME/NT/2000/XP

Description:
Rapid File Get permits to download a program or a file from a http site resuming connection if lost.
You have only to set the URI (writing or paste from clipboard by specific button) and to press the play button on top.
If you want to download a very big file you can pause and resume when you want; program remembers last partially downloaded file.
During download program can work in "small mode" saving desktop space.
It has no spyware, is very small and very useful!

[Get it!]

Looks nice, if I wasn't such a command line junkie I'd probably use that. As it is, I use wget. I don't think it can pause though Sad.

TBH. Most of those apps I've found while hunting for cmd line tools. Unfortunately there seems no cmd tool which can resume a broken download ... Crying or Very sad

You can pause (suspend) wget with ctrl-z if you are using cygwin.
Or with dos just stop it with ctrl-c

AFAIK wget will resume a broken download with the -c option

I use DLMage.. it works great, for pauseing, resumeing, seting timers for downloads, turning off your computer when downloaded if needed and much more. It is a non Spy ware app too! but it is not freeware. There is a pay version but with the right seraching I am sure you can find a hack for it.
