in the Hotkeys topic there is a link that says 'See the Key List for a complete list of key and mouse button names'. it would be really good to have a link to that key list from the table of contents. i'm always going there and always have to follow this roundabout route to get there.

and it would also be good to have a link to the script showcase stuff. i discovered quite by accident the other day that these scripts are part of the chm. come on, show them off! i think they deserve a link in the contents.

i also think the script showcase scripts are a bit hidden on the forum. could you not have another forum section for them, possibly with no write access for anyone but administrator? currently you have to look at 'submission guidelines' in order to find the scripts themselves. this isn't really intuitive. unless you felt confident with your coding you might never look there!

It's in there, but probably not named in the best way. It's at the very top level right above "Scripts" and "Variables".

In case you didn't notice it, there's now a prominent link at the bottom of the Scripts page. The reason I don't include more things in the TOC is that I don't want it to appear too cluttered at the top level. But in this case, perhaps you're right that it should be in the top level now that it's grown larger.

Well, it's prominently linked by being sticky. In addition, it's prominently linked on the documentation page: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/

I don't think I want a whole new forum for that, since that's really what Scripts & Utilities is already for. Maybe I don't fully understand the proposal, so feel free to clarify. Maybe just making a new sticky topic with a catchier title would give it more exposure?

I appreciate you taking the time to post these suggestions; they are always welcome. Being so close to the project, I often have tunnel vision and cannot clearly see the big picture.

sorry for slow reply...been busy with other things...

i think the forum topic would be better with a title such as:
Quote:
Script showcase

or:

Quote:
Script showcase (including submission guidelines)

if i'm looking for the scripts i wouldn't think it obvious to click on something that was just 'submission guidelines'

'Key, Mouse, & Joystick Reference' links to a topic with the title 'List of Key and Mouse Button Names', which doesn't match very well. but yes, this is the topic that i would love to see a link to under the 'Keyboard Control' section, which is where i always look for it.

jack
you might think that...i couldn't possibly comment

i've just seen the change to the script showcase in the forum. that's much clearer (but of course i'm biased).

many thanks
