I'm OK to be beta tester. For the icon design, I'm so bad in drawing...
For me, the GUI looks nice. |

What exactly does that mean "Help with the icons"? Could you be more specific about this?
Does it mean s.o. has to create all this icons? Do you provide any sources? What do you mean by single file?

I already have around 100 icons, which I can hand out. But I do not know if I'm allowed to use them in the GUI, since they are screenshots from other programs. If they can't be used in the GUI due to copyrights, they have to be changed/alterd to evade the copyright.
Some icons have to be changed (I guess 20), since the picture doesn't fit the action.
Several (I guess 20-40) new once have to be created.
All icons should be in a single file (E.g. dll, icl, ico ...), so that it is easier to distribute them with the script. I don't care about the file extention as long as the file can be used with AHK. _________________ Ciao

How would you/s.o. else determine if an icon is copyrighted? Sounds nearly impossible.
Have you thought about my tip in your Icons gallerie posting? The icon library of vb-archive is huge and according to the admin all icons are free to use within your apps.
Especially the "Sonstiges" category is filled with a lot of useful icons.

Yes, I looked at them. I downloaded them all. But didn't find icons that were good to use. Most of the icons belong to other apps or are more for fun. But not to e.g. represent the different alignment options that would be needed for SGUI. _________________ Ciao

Thanks for the link.
I've gone through all of them. Nothing useful. Only the BitCon is close. But all is in red, and still a lot of icons are missing. _________________ Ciao

Two screenshots of an intermediate version (number of lines 2356):
The window as it looks like at start up:
In action, some of the features are already visible.
Just as an appetizer :) _________________ Ciao

To host this script on sourceforge I have to specify an OSI approved Open software licence.
Can someone make a suggetion, please?
I do not want make sure that this software stays free as long as I want, thus it should be illegal to sell this code, executable or parts of it. _________________ Ciao

I think I could create your icons, but in regard that there are several candicates, a choice should be made, because it's in the interest of that fine project that graphics are out of one hand.
Is a contest to come up?
Pixelly regards

Currently you are the only one. Thanks for the offer.
It will be soon that the first pre-alpha will be put on a server, so that alpha tester can start.
If you are then still the only one who wants to do the icons, I'll send you a link too. Since I have little experience (only have a personal taste) in icon design i have no idea how we could coordinate this. Maybe you create a first rough set of only a few icons. Then the testers and myself can test it and suggest modifications. Or you just post an image of them here and we'll give you feedback in this forum.
If you want to start right away and need more information, feel free to ask via any of the given channels. _________________ Ciao
