Hi,

Until recently I've made do with a similar program, albeit very old program, called WinCmd from PCMagazine. You can't even download it these days. But it was very similar to AHK.

Anyways, WinCmd doesn't do mice. So I downloaded about ten different macro recorders from ZDNET.COM and one was kinda nice. But none offered all that I needed. (The kinda nice one was limitted (no variables) and it's mouse control didn't work properly!)

Anyways. I happened on AHK at the ZDNET.COM site and boy am I lucky I did. Your program is exactly what I needed. It has variables and can see what screen is active and loops and so far it has worked perfectly as documented. Oh, and the documentatioin is pretty good too. Great simple examples. (Ever look at the exampels for Visual Studio.NET? Simple command, 2 page esoteric, complicated example involving everything not related to the command....eeek.)

Right now I'm using MP3 Butcher to download and divide up audio recordings for my mom. Dividing up a whole bunch of files into ten minute segments was laborious with MP3 Butcher. Now it's not! I just put all my audio files in a folder and the AHK script goes to work.

Very cool.

Is there a way to doante $20 with a credit card? The other macro programs I was trying to use cost $20-$50 dollars.

Thanks!

It's constantly being improved, so if you spot weak areas, please let us know.

Here is a direct PayPal link

Although donations aren't expected or solicited, it's gratifying when someone likes the product enough to ask specifically about donating. So thanks.

Edit: Updated link.
