Hey this isn't ahk related but anyway...
CCleaner is a cool program that cleans all the hidden junk made on your computer over time which can pile up to alot, making your system slower and etc.
Info:
----------
The first time I used CCleaner -
I ran Norton's Cleansweap first and then I used CCleaner straight after. CCleaner removed 207mb :/
It doesn't only clean termporary files and junk but also useless system files that programs make. It also cleans registry for obsolete keys, uninstalled stuff and etc.
-Just something cool I found lol |

| I tried CC once, but it's kind of like a PC cleaning suite. I much prefer to either have many small, efficient utilities doing different jobs and/or doing it manually. Also, I noticed that CC doesn't clean out Microsoft's really hidden files. Then again, I don't know of a utility that can do that yet. |

Yes, but everyone differs in opinion as to just how much they should control. On opposite ends of the spectrum are: You do it all yourself by manually going through and deleting it all (It's still using utilities: file explorer/prompt and the delete function) OR on the other side, having one app which has one big red shiny button, and you just have to take its word that it's doing what it says it's doing.
Also, I noticed you cut out a chunk of my post that's pretty important. Didja read that article I linked?
Edit: For that manual one I forgot to add, regedt32 and booting to DOS are also necessary for a comprehensive cleaning. Also note that such a manual cleaning does require a little bit of knowledge about how XP works. |
