I see Rajat's too proud to post in the Support section. Even Bug Report, maybe, but General Chat? C'mon. Laughing

My guess is the numbers aren't text, but rather an image resource, like an icon, or bmps. That's the only thing that makes sense.

this isn't a bug... u see i've checked on other win2k system (this is also from win2k sys) and this problem wasn't there... so i thought maybe Chris or somebody else will b able to suggest what might cause this strange behaviour.

and btw i've not got the cursor in the pic...but while taking the shot it was on a button (as seen in relevant info in spy).

I've recommended a nice FREE tool to get a screenshoot with the cursor/mouse pointer included. Feel free to search the forum Wink Laughing

This behavior is a mystery to me. Perhaps your user privileges affect the ability of a process you launch to retrieve text from other windows.

If this particular version of calculator uses owner-drawn buttons, that might explain why there is no text in them. But from what you said, that seems unlikely.

It's also possible that calc.exe behaves differently depending on the conditions it is running in. What those conditions might be is a mystery.
