"Acrobat-Reader" use to take way too long to startup.
But not any more!!!
This oneshot app. sets "Acrobat-Reader" to launch fast as lightning.
You can also restore the settings with one click.
I love it, because I have to use pdfs all day at work.
-Try launching "Acrobat-Reader" prior to this app, to see the difference.
-Woooohoo!!!
(freeware, of course!)
(look for it 1/2 way down this page)

Nope jonny,
Just an average shmo.
I program robotics for metal machining purposes.
(CNC, here of it?)
We have all our blueprints in pdf format.
I'm also involved with development of our computer network.
(Create File Maker Pro stuff & crap like that...)
& I'm buddies with the head computer guy.
Got a few AHK scripts running there too!
...so what'choo do, jonny? _________________ -buttons, buttons,...

| Student/aspiring hacker. (not to be confused with cracker, don't even get me started) I'm leaning more towards Linux lately, but Windows has merit of it's own. Microsoft loses a lot of people with it's dominating and downright stupid market positions, though. |

I used to do quite a bit of NC programming when I first started out. It was a long time ago, back in the days of paper tapes. I also worked for FMC corp running a big router that machined many different parts for the Bradley tanks. It was a job where I got covered with oil and got a lot of skin burns (scars now) from hot metal chips flying through the air. It was a pretty dangerous job really. It was not unusual that someone would get hurt pretty bad.
I then went to a different comapny and wrote programs in Fortran that would plot NC programs. I also set up RS-232 communications from computers to NC machines so that we could download to the machines and get rid of the paper tapes. It was a lot of fun and quite interesting. _________________ I am he of whom he speaks! |

Keep it up jonny!
(p.s.- that bobo toast thing was pretty funny)
Atomhrt-
Wow, paper-tape days.
It's crazy how far things have come.
My shop, 45 years ago, & no CNC,
there were 38 guys sweating & bustin' knuckles.
(way b-4 me)
Today, there are only 5 in the machine shop.
(& my wife is one!)
They say we produce now, over 4 times the parts,
which have become way too complicated to machine by hand.
& all we do is play around all day long...
The technology & machinery...
It's so amazing to experience each changing day... _________________ -buttons, buttons,...
