I don't think the article is worth a new topic.

But I would help with translation. At least to get a more accurate initial translation of the german. A fine tuning / finish of my translation could be re-edit by a native tongue, of cause.

I do not know the quality of the automatic translation. But normaly it is better to start a translation from scratch, to avoid "denglish".

And since BoBo seams to be fluent in english as well, and has some experience in translation (see topic: "The Germans to the front ... " :o)) I hope he could take a share too. :)

Das wäre schon mal ein kleines Projekt zum warmlaufen. Denke das waren 4 Seiten 196-200 ? Tekl hat den Hut auf und sollte den Zeitrahmen, die Seitenzuteilung und die finale Freigabe bestimmen können (IMHO, "Ehre wem Ehre gebührt").
Eine freiwillige Nase pro Seite würd' schon passen, oder ... ???
Bin dabei. Nächste Nachtschicht, ist bereits gescheduled. Cool

btw: Teetrinkende Gegenleser mit Hoolgan-Attitude habe ich im Umfeld ...

Ich kann zwar die Qualität meiner Englischkenntnisse nicht objektiv bewerten, aber falls ihr noch einen freiwilligen für eine Seite sucht, würde ich mich anbieten. Also falls ihr Not am Mann habt, meine ich.

Kann allerdings nur einen Leistungskurs Englisch aus der Schule geltend machen, der jetzt schon ein paar Jährchen hinter mir liegt, aber ich hoffe durch das Surfen im Internet bleibt man einigermaßen fit. Wenn ihr denkt, daß das ausreicht, übersetze ich gerne eine Seite. Muss allerdings dazusagen, das ich hin und wieder schon mal LEO http://dict.leo.org/ zu rate ziehen muss, wenn es um idiomatische Ausdrücke oder schwierige bzw. technische Begriffe geht.

OK, du darfst mein pidgin denglish korrigieren. Meine sprachlichen Fähigkeiten lassen mich schon beim Begriff "idiomatisch" in höfliche Zurückhaltung verfallen. Wird in der Regel als Zeichen von Kompetenz gedeutet. Laughing

Habe gerade die c't rewiewed und wünsche seitdem Tekl die Gicht in die Finger Wink

und der c't eine Arial 72 als Standard-Schrifttyp. Wink

Werden wohl nach Absätzen stückeln müssen statt nach Seiten, sonst wollen alle die 199 Laughing

Das hört sich nach mehr an als es ist. Ich kannte nur noch das englische Wort "idioms" und hab das einfach ins deutsch gedeutet. Bin mir nicht mal sicher ob es das Wort "idiomatisch" überhaupt gibt. Very Happy

Ich meine damit so sprachliche Eigenheiten wie Sprichworte oder Ausdrücke, die man nicht so einfach wörtlich übersetzen kann. Hier mal ein zwei Beispiele von Google

Naja und Leistungskurs ist halt das, was man auf einem Gymnasium für ein Abi machen muss. Man braucht immer zwei Leistungskurse aus zwei verschiedenen Feldern. Kompliziert. Und in denen muss man schriftliches Abitur schreiben.

Ich wollte halt nur ein realistisches Bild meiner Englischkenntnisse abgeben. Ist aber alles schon wieder über 5 Jahre her, also bloß meine Kenntnisse nicht überbewerten. Very Happy

Wenn c't wirklich eine Arial 72 Schrift hätte, würde sich bestimmt der Briefträger beschweren, das er lauter 48-bändige Computerzeitschriften ausliefern müsste. Laughing

Ah, c'mon, it's not that bad. I, for one, hate the fact that my first and only language is English (three years of high school french doesn't count). I think about English the same way I think about IE; the most widely used, but also really inefficient and just plain stupid. Very Happy

English is simply nonsensical.
