AHK has got its own title story: "Windows automatisieren" ---> Automating Windows
Several interesting scripts & supporting tools (like SmartGUI & Intellisense ) have been mentioned. A bunch of scripts (some based on others from the forum) are provided for download [here]
BTW: That info is based on a hint from Andreas Barutta. Thx, pal

Nice. Those scripts provided by the author of the article seem quite useful, and are nicely commented and structured.
Based on web site statistics, I think the number of German users of AutoHotkey is second only to USA/UK users (and perhaps the gap is narrowing). In light of that, maybe it's time to do as others have suggested: set up a wiki so that those fluent in German and English can help translate the help file to German (and other languages if anyone volunteers for them). |

Anyone knows how to get the article in electronic form to be able to translate it completely to english ?
(I guess subscribers can access it, but as a PDF (?))
Tekl, any idea |

bobo again!!
i just got c't 3 and saw the very good article about AHK and wanted to post a message to chris (and all) to tell him about the well-deserved praise he got, but - of course - bobo was first.
the only thing i might add to what bobo wrote is that imho c't is not only THE leading german magazin but probably one of the best worldwide, with some translated versions already. i know for sure that there is a dutch version of c't being published already for years.
anyways, well-deserved praise for you, chris, and everybody else who made AHl to what it is!
cheers. |

I think Andreas Barutta is to blame
He seems to be a c't subscriber as he mentioned that article in another section of the forum - days before its issue was available in a shop.
Ehm, looks like an advise to resign
But you're correct. I've to reduce that flood of BOBOSPAM ... |

I saw Autohotkey for the first time in the article of the c't magazine a few days ago. I'm happy there was an article. Otherwise I wouldn't know that such a nice program is around.
Cya
PS: The author of the article has an account for the autohotkey forum. =D |

On this site you can see a very small preview of the article at the bottom.
You can't read anything (too small) but you might get an impression of the article. |

Hello Folks,
sorry, that you're waiting so long for a reaction of me. I'm the main-author of that article. I've cleared the copyright-things. It is only possible to publish here a translated version of the article and also in this way, the copyrights belong to Copyright 2005 Heise Publishing, Hannover, Germany, www.heise.de. Also if the scripts where published here, I have to mention inside them, that the copyright belongs to Heise. If a english version of the article will be published here, I'll also translate the scripts into english. Now I need a volunteer to get a good translation. As I'm not allowed to spread the german version I have prepared a raw translation with a translation-software. The volunteer should be good in english and also know about german sentences, because the automatic translation is not so good. I think the translated article and the scripts should be published together in a separate area here at autohotkey.com. Maybe Chris can add a new menuitem like "AutoHotkey in the press".
To keep control I won't post the raw article here. Please contact me at ahk@rumborak.de if you are interested to help me to fix the translation.
with kind regards,
Tekl
