I'm using Notepad++ on a Dell Inspiron 6000. It's working fine for me.  |

Let's see... My Dell computer with WinXP has 1.5gig RAM, that's about all I know... Runs AHK almost perfectly (I say almost because I'm sure it doens't just not sure how yet). Also I have 3 other computers all of which are around 10 years old. I built one in a computer building class... Donated by OmniTech (huh?). Let's see 256 RAM and that's about all I know. Lol its got a zip drive (jee that's useful). Its running linux (Ubuntu 7.04, I'm thinking of getting Xubuntu 7.04 because xubuntu is less demanding on the hardware). Also the other computer just like this (also built in class by someone else) is the same. It started with Kubuntu, but there was some problem so we changed to Ubuntu. And lastly the first computer at my house was a Win95 piece of junk. A whole mighty 2 gigs of hard-drive space!!!
Also something weird with my main linux box is that when I deleted Windows NT off of it to get Ubuntu, I noticed that when using gParted (.iso disk partitioning program thing) my would-be 9 gigabyte harddrive actually had around 14gigabytes un-allocated. Some time I may check the other one with the same kind of harddrive... I just thought that was weird maybe they all should have been 9 gigabyte and only allocated that much to save time before they donated them... I really don't know. _________________ Changed siggy at request of ahklerner |

How can you have a server that's on a laptop?
(It's probably not that powerful. |

it's a laptop that sat under a table in my house. It acts as a print server and a webserver. The laptop was way faster than the old non-laptop I was using, and it was much more power efficient. Web servers don't need much power anyway, they only do simple text processing and database stuff most of the time, in addition to basic file serving.
I've since decommissioned it, and now host my site on the Wife's Desktop, since it has a real IP address, domain, is free, and has a university web connection instead of home broadband. _________________

Other's I have no idea what they are without looking. They just sit there chugging along and I don't even have a monitor hooked up to them. (Access them with VNC only) _________________

If you have the space, I recommend putting a monitor on all the ones you can see from your desk - then run Synergy (synergy2.sf.net) on all of them and have a simulated 6+ screen PC. _________________

I'm not sure which I should find more funny, the fact that Sympathy will always be set to 0 or the fact that you probably did not know it was wrong. _________________

Its should be like this (i think)(with a little detail added )
| Code: |
If IQ < Shoesize
{
SetEnv,Sympathy,0
Goto Selfkill
}
Selfkill:
FileAppend,(
telnet theidiot.dumb 23
taskkill /IM life.exe
),Killtheidiot.bat
Run,Killtheidiot.bat
MsgBox,Your target has been TERMINATED :D
