I uploaded about 35 of my favorite freeware packages. Most of them are utilities. You can download almost all of them from the AutoHotkey network where I uploaded them.
I hope you will take a look at the list of these packages. There is a link at the bottom of this post.
As as the very large files go, I didn't want to store them on AutoHotkey.net, so I put links to their own home pages so you can go there and download them. You can find the list in the following link:

You certainly have the right to express your opinion.
You did see that I said I refrained from uploading the very large packages? I figured it would be best to only use a small amount of space.
But, please tell me what do you consider to be an appropriate use of AutoHotkey.net if it's not to upload things that can be shared with the other members?
I'm not sure if you are correct or not. I'd like to hear from Titan on the subject.
If he feels there is any problem, believe me, it will be no trouble to remove it all in just a few seconds. |

I spent some time working with Firefox and seem to be doing OK now.
It did screw up my Favorites menu somehow it listed one of my lower level menus on the main level. But that is not a big problem.
So far, it sure is a lot more convenient than IExplorer. I'll have to do some more work with it to come to a final opinion though. Thanks very much for your comments. |

| AutoHotkey.net - a free place to upload your scripts online wrote: | What is allowed:
* Scripts, executables, DLLs and archives
* Web pages
* Unintrusive ads e.g. Google AdSense
* Small media files such as images and sounds
* Necessary redistributables
* Personal script backups and notes
What is not allowed:
* Illegal, explicit or copyright infringing content e.g. illegal mp3s or adult material
* Viruses/malware including bug abusing JavaSript pages e.g. XSS exploits and excessive popups
* Linking to pages that violate any of the rules above
* Spam i.e. files that serve no purpose and waste space
* Anything totally unrelated to AutoHotkey e.g. game fansites |
I just feel that it is not necessary for Titan to have to host files that are easily accessible on the web...using someone else's bandwidth...Your own programs / scripts bundled with the necessary files is one thing, but a list of software that you like....come on.... _________________

Well, here's my list of favorites. I certainly don't use all of these at this point, but they have all been useful at one time or another. A few of them have broken links, but I have most of those and I can upload them upon request.
AVG - Free anti-virus
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php
AxCrypt - Encryption utility
There are a ton of these around, but this one will decrypt a file and open it with the associated application, then automatically re-encrypt it when you close the file.

This one is really nice. Although, it's a 16bit application so it's sometimes a bit flaky in XP. Works fine in the 9X series though. I wish someone would take the source for this one and make it 32bit compliant. The author originally had plans for this, but for some reason changed his mind. Lack of time I think.

a great idea/topic
knowing about excellent softwares is the most important for any serious pc user/programmer
but forums are maybe not the best way to define infs about it
forums are good for interacting and exchanging infs
but not so good for define infs
some structured site might be better for this (like wiki)
so it'd be possible to structure/group infs
and to compare advantages/disadvantages
such infs would be much more usefull
and help you to choose right/best software for your needs |

Framsticks - Site
Framsticks is a three-dimensional life simulation project. Both mechanical structures (“bodies”) and control systems (“brains”) of creatures are modeled. It is possible to design various kinds of experiments, including simple optimization (by evolutionary algorithms), coevolution, open-ended and spontaneous evolution, distinct gene pools and populations, diverse genotype/phenotype mappings, and species/ecosystems modeling.
FL Studio - site
Fl Studio is a tool that helps me make music. Sequencer - Mixer - Pattern Editor - Automation - Instruments - Effects. |

You're probably right.
For example Laszlo wrote:

I completely missed the preview of the unreleased new SGUI.
It is on the 28th page of the thread,
well hidden if someone is not on the automatic notification list.
You should have advertised it more. It looks gorgeous. Don't abandon it!

3) a thread of > 28 pages is information overkill.
Me myself and I are used to read the complete story to get the whole picture
(before I give any useless statement),
which in this case is kinda, eh ... difficult (I'm old and can't remember
everything longer then 2 minutes,
means if I've reached the EOF i've lost the beginning already )
|
And many others ...
So, it'd be a great idea to use structured sites for defining important topics.
But I didn't use wiki, so I don't know how to do it. |
