There isn't really much place in the community for other types of code such as, Java, PHP, C++ etc..So I move that we make a new category called "Other". For such use. _________________ Join AutoHotkey's Whatpulse Team today!

| No need for that. If you want to post something not related to AutoHotkey, the General area is the right place for you. |

Ian, I think your idea is a good one, but Tuncay is also right in another way. _________________ John

If you want to tell people about something that can be useful that isn't AHK you can use Utilities & Resources.
If you want to just talk about some other language or certain aspects, you can use General Chat.
If you need help on code, there are other forums out there devoted to whatever language you are using. You'll likely get faster/better answers there. |

just one silent thought .... why not making a category 'games'
so all those who attempt making scripts for, flash games, poker sites, hardcore 1st person shotter whatsoever will have their own place and each game a nice own topic. this 'd avoid confusion in n00b section ask for help asking for the same sites over and over again, also gamers with no interest in AHK programming, will have their own place to put all those great scripts together
just my 2 cents

| DerRaphael, if we create an own section for games, then we should create for other topics. I mean, games is just one topic type and I think its not that important. |

IMHO many new gaming users 'found' Autohotkey, because someone told 'em that it'd be perfect for their task to accomplish .. or they've read in some gaming mag bout a better way to cheat or in some forum.
not too many of those stay in this community and try to participate, instead they find the ask for help section, have a problem with a particular game and post an already 5 million times answered question again to be answered.
so if these ppl will find a game section, it'd be easier for 'em to find a solution already given
as tuncay stated of course if we make up one category what bout all the others ... personally i think it wont be that bad having different categories for different types postings. i'd love to see a 'Standard Lib' section where only stdlib related issues being discussed. it would also benefit of having the thing together instead of shattered all across the Script Section. sure one can use the search function, but its quite unconfortable when searching around and you still miss the one or the other post no matter of how your search string was chosen.
my 2 cents
