Hi Ian. It's a fine idea to start you own business when you are young. I applaud that.
As for posting information on the internet, well, when I was in 8th grade, I had a website where I had information about myself. I suppose you will do what you are going to do. If you ever arrange a meeting with someone from the internet, bring an adult, be in a public setting, and let people know what you are up to.

enguneer, that is just plain creepy that you know my mothers name. And Telling my name, and age is not releasing significant information. Also, I love no where near the base. And my mother does not work at wherever you said, she works on the base at aviation Propoanice

He's demonstrating how easy it is to commit identity fraud with just a name and place of residence. Also this is not a social networking site, publicly posting personal details here is inappropriate.
autohotkey.com is operated within the US and is subject to the COPPA regulations. If you really are younger than 14 I hope you reviewed the privacy statement with your parents at the time of your registration on these forums as there have been instances of admins being sued in the past for being too lenient with minors on their website.

Exactly. Every peice of information you give is another pointer as to who you are and where you are. Think of it as a puzzle, and you have to guess what the picture is. The more peices you have, the more likely it is you will figure out what the puzzle is.
Ontop of this, posting your age on the internet is a very bad idea. There are pedofiles that lurk in all sorts of places, when they see someone as willing as you to put forth there personal details, they make contact. They can be friends with you for many years before even attempting to meet, They are very manipulative and it is often impossible to tell the diffrence. Although this is a very rare occurance, it's still best to be safe rather than sorry. Ontop of the pedofile threat, there is of course the identity fraud threat. Which is pretty obvious, but also. I heard your mother works in the military? That's a very bad thing to post. Havn't you seen those scary movies where the bad guys kidnap the important family member to try and get information out of the other family member? You should watch more TV.
As that other guy said, If you insist on posting your personal information, head over to a social networking website. But remain carefull, there are many horror stories that have been caused by such places aswell.
You should treat your information on a need to know basis. That is probably the most safe way of managing things.

The only reason that engunneer had such an easy job doing it, is because he has my Ip address >.>
Edit:
engunneer, and Titan are the reason why a my identity would be stolen (That someone would want to steal a 13 year olds identity) because they both posted things I never even said.

And isn't that age thing 13? or maybe it said you have to be over 13...
I rarely give out specific info as it could bite me in the behind later on.

I highley doubt that there are any of those on here, As form me being scared. I'm not, Titan and engunneer and kept haseling me about it, so I just took it off. And the CEO thing does not take away any life  What I do with my life is my buisness. |
