I was sick of working, then dropping my laptop or even setting it down to hard, and loosing days or weeks of work.. (not to good at backing up).
I bought a 64gig SSD hard drive. It is amazing. I can throw my laptop across the room and not have problems, (not tested! ), even with Vista, it is fast and loads up in seconds. No noise, battery lasts 30% longer, no heat. I used to have a 7200 2.5 sata and it would burm me. _________________ CPULOCK

| Newegg lists only 1 64GB ssd and it's at $1,500. I think it needs to come down some before they become really viable for semi-normal people. |

Through Dell it was about 1k but I have seen them for about 700 on ebay.
If you have had one crash due to a thing spinning @ 7200rpm then being jolted, it is worth it.
I have had 3.
I got a bad back so I use my laptop to make my program from bed and we are mobile http://www.cbs13.com/video/?id=15413@kovr.dayport.com so it's always on to even a 1 inch drop has caused the heads to hit the disks and caaaabbbboom, a day, week or even a month of work is gone. _________________ CPULOCK
