hi..
i posted this thing already .. but i think i was unable to make myself clear... so i am sending it agian ... giving a bit more details...

i want to make a script that will "INDEX" (SEARCH) a drive's contents or all drives files n folders... and then it will save it to a variable or append to a file ... then when i enter the NAME of the file e.g "autohotkey.exe" it will match the string with the VARIABLE or file ... and RUN the corresponding PATH..... now i was able to make the part till indexing and stuff,,, byt then i cant do anything... somehow i always geta problem ... so i rellay need help on this one... and also tell if there is any way to Search all the drives..

Yes, there is a way, have a look for "Loop, (Filepattern)".

In the script forum a similar script has been asked for by freekster.

Have a look at it, if you can take use parts of it.

If you run into problems with you script, post small parts of it in this forum.

And by the way: Please use a more detailed topic name. That you need help is obvious, cause you are in the Suppport/Help forum. A good Topic title helps to search the forum

hi toralf.. thanks ... but luckily ,,, my script is complete Cool ... and the one u said aint they one i wanted... anyways... thanks again
