Any advice please?

Yup, just found the other thread.

Running an AVG update didn't help but upgrading from 1.0.47.04 to 1.0.47.05 did the trick.

Thanks.

...can I recommend you still report this to AVG?...it may be "fixed" for you, but still the old version is being reported incorrectly...I suggest that as many people as possible report this to AVG to get it off the "virus" radar...even an old version...I will be downloading that version of AutoHotkey (1.0.47.04) & compiling a test script, but since I don't have AVG, I will be using virusscan.jotti.org...& if jotti has AVG reporting a virus with a 1.0.47.04-compiled exe, then I'm reporting it to AVG too...I am also gonna scan all files in the 1.0.47.04 package...cuz I don't understand why a compiled exe is seen as a virus (false positive) & not AutoHotkey.exe or AutoHotkeySC.bin...perhaps the .bin filename prevents most people/AVG from finding it there?...it seems like it would find the false positive it SOME other file besides just a 1.0.47.04-compiled exe...

WOW...in preparing this post, I went looking to link to a way to contact AVG support, but virus@grisoft.com is the only thing I found so far...they lock down this one support form, requiring a license number...grrr!...

Hey?!...I think something's missing...wonder what it could be?...

OK...nevermind, don't contact AVG...they make it that hard to contact them, fine...I sent them this, as feedback to a faq entry (click No on the FAQ = get a feedback form!)...

My Feedback to 296: I think I have a virus on my computer. What steps should I follow to install AVG? wrote:
What do I do about false positives?...read this damn FAQ another time?...no, I think since you make it SOO hard to report false positives...I'll just let them be & recommend NO ONE use AVG since your crappy product reports soo many false positives AND you don't want to have reports of them...from the "measly free edition users"...screw us? screw YOU!...I don't even have the free edition, but other people were reporting false positives from AVG free...& now I'm trying to find out how to contact you about it...& guess what?..."measly free edition users"...aren't "allowed" to contact you about ANYTHING...I understand not giving tech support to free users, but having them report them & YOU FIXING FALSE POSITIVES ONLY HELPS YOU!...so you don't want the help?...fine!

I already don't use AVG, even your free version...& now with this "can't contact you" bullshit...I never will try it...& I will recommend NO ONE USE AVG...
