Yup, just found the other thread.
Running an AVG update didn't help but upgrading from 1.0.47.04 to 1.0.47.05 did the trick.
Thanks. |

...can I recommend you still report this to AVG?...it may be "fixed" for you, but still the old version is being reported incorrectly...I suggest that as many people as possible report this to AVG to get it off the "virus" radar...even an old version...I will be downloading that version of AutoHotkey (1.0.47.04) & compiling a test script, but since I don't have AVG, I will be using virusscan.jotti.org...& if jotti has AVG reporting a virus with a 1.0.47.04-compiled exe, then I'm reporting it to AVG too...I am also gonna scan all files in the 1.0.47.04 package...cuz I don't understand why a compiled exe is seen as a virus (false positive) & not AutoHotkey.exe or AutoHotkeySC.bin...perhaps the .bin filename prevents most people/AVG from finding it there?...it seems like it would find the false positive it SOME other file besides just a 1.0.47.04-compiled exe...
WOW...in preparing this post, I went looking to link to a way to contact AVG support, but virus@grisoft.com is the only thing I found so far...they lock down this one support form, requiring a license number...grrr!...
Hey?!...I think something's missing...wonder what it could be?...

I already don't use AVG, even your free version...& now with this "can't contact you" bullshit...I never will try it...& I will recommend NO ONE USE AVG... |
