Although searching the forum works ok sometimes, a category for Tips, Tricks & Workarounds might save a bit of time searching and allow people to share a bit of valuable info... Just a thought... |

My general preference is to have fewer categories to minimize confusion about which forum to post things in (this is especially important to new visitors).
However, if anyone else thinks new sub-forums such as this would be a good idea, please share your thoughts. |

I see your point and agree somewhat... Thanks for considering the suggestion . The reason for the request was in noting that tips tricks and workarounds only seem to be listed as a response to a question or as part of a much larger script in the Scripts category. It would be really handy to have a collection in one place. What would you think of renaming the Scripts category and/or changing the description slightly instead to include tips, tricks & workarounds? |

This is because the scripts forum, more so than the others, benefits from staying as pure and low-traffic as possible.
Also, I don't know if I'd want to include "workaround" in the description because it implies that workarounds are commonly needed, which I hope isn't true! |

I think a wiki would be perfect for this. _________________ "Anything worth doing is worth doing slowly." - Mae West

There should be a wiki someday soon. Just need to get organized.
