THIS IS... SPARTA no wait, MY 5000TH POST!!!
I feel a mix of emotions as I write this. In the beginning I had never imagined that I would be committed to this open source project for so long. I came in search of game macros, but over time my relationship grew stronger in ways I could not have possibly foreshadowed.
I would best describe my history with AutoHotkey as a long term learning experience. Back in 2004 when I joined the forums I was never interested in programming, but through Chris’ exceptional work this whole new world was unlocked for me. C++ and even BASIC seemed too daunting to invest time learning (especially with a busy and very sociable lifestyle), whereas AutoHotkey had been designed to be so newb-friendly you only needed your logic to get by. I found the community to also be an invaluable resource of information. PhiLho and JSLover brought me up to speed with regex and parsing techniques; and Laszlo, as most of us know sparked my interest in the mathematical and algorithmic side of programming. Many others have come and some left, but in their own everyone way has made their mark with something new that we could learn from. I’d like to think I have done the same for others, and I would encourage users to post their creations – there is no such thing as a bad idea.
Truly AutoHotkey has changed me as a person, even the rare bad times I’ve had with certain people here were character-defining moments in my life. I have increased dedication to my work and I like to see things through. Speaking to people all over the world with a common interest (other than gaming) made me more open-minded and extrovert. It has also made me more aware of what’s around us in culture and political agendas; I am an open source advocate and never before believed so much in the importance of freedom of speech. Anyone with as much experience online as myself can only expect that I have made friends, casual acquaintances, enemies and rivals on this forum that I frequent. It’s a pleasure talking to Skan, Elevator_Hazard, ahklerner, CShadowRun and others on IRC in my free time. I also respect those who challenge my work and take the time to post their improvements. This shows how the socio laws of subculture can even apply to communities on the internet where the only form of communication is in a written context.
With all this and more I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone here and especially Chris who made this all happen. I really hope development continues and more people find this. I will gladly offer my services with scripts and the maintenance of autohotkey.net for months and years to come. Thank you.

*wipes off tears and moves box of kleenex aside* Anyway we all know the real reason for being here, and that’s for my stats and observations on the forum...

Congrats, but hey, I had my 4th post a few minutes ago, but can't see it within the 'Zeitgeist'-Graphs.
Wasn't aware that Zeitgeist is one of several loanwords which has made it into English. Wieder was gelernt |

Nice graphs. What software was used to make them? _________________ “yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation” yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation. |

Cool. welcome to the 5000 club. What is favourability, and how is it measured? _________________

Per Titan, | Quote: | | favourability is the number of times a user was mentioned on the forums minus the time they said it themselves. i.e. do a search for "titan", record the number, then search for "titan" again by the author "titan" and minus this from the first result |

ah. IT becomes obvious that I skim the posts. FAIL.
in any case, it seems like an easy thing that can get confused. You could go around saying that engunneer is a stupid jerk and it would add to my favourability.
It reminds me of something I saw from MIT. It was a media wall that projects an image of the room you are in with an animated AI puppy. It responds to your movement and tone of voice. You can saw "Come here so I can kick you", and it will come, as long as you say it sweetly.
Does it also count the user name in the quote system?
