Theoreticaly you can do anything
Practicaly, you can't do anything more advanced without major hassle.
If you want to do syntax highlighting editor just using AHK, my advice is to switch to some advanced langauge, or you will suffer badly.
Creating editor with 3th party dll like HiEdit is peace of cake, but also requries lotsa work if you want to do it like a man.
So, in short, depending on your background things may be easy, hard or impossible. I find that most advanced things require deep understanding of binary structures, low level programming, and Windows Architechture hard-core details if you want some normal ETA for project. This is becasue of newbish orienation of AHK language, so anything more advanced is out of scope of "typical user". AHK community also doesn't have any kind of standard or consolidation. It is very unlikely that this will change in the future especialy today when most of the power members either left or minimised their visit to the forum.

Well I just have to wait 4 months then IŽll be learning C++,Java,MySQL and more I dont even remember 
So IŽll try doing this in AHK Until I give up

You were probalby talking about your school. School shouldn't be your main information source, just aditional as nobody understands what you want better then you. So, if you really want to learn C++, go google around for some of the freeware books about that subject, for instance Thinking in C++. The same thing from the same author is available for Java.

Ok then. Please gime a glimps of that magic if you can. I am very interested to see it. You will have to recreate entire Windows, Universe and everything else in Turing machine, and if you call that possibility, then ok, its possible. Its possible also to teleport to the end of the universe, according to the quantum physics, just like that, while you walking on the street, but very unlikely.
I doubt anybody was talking about theoreticall posibilities, as we all know that anything is possible, using anything.

I have to agree with this. In my experience, school teaches you how to program, not how to program in a specific language. If I never looked outside of school to other languages, I'd only know C++ and some Java. But since I have looked other places, I know many more languages. I also find it more enjoyable when you care about the project you are working on rather than just something that gets you a grade. |
