Kentucky Lawmaker Wants to Make Anonymous Internet Posting Illegal

•The bill would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site.

•Their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted.

•The fine would be five-hundred dollars for a first offense and one-thousand dollars for each offense after that.

LOL! What a waste of whatever kind of paper that bill was written on...

Does this american really believe that the internet is within Kentucky?? or does he expect interpol or the CIA to prosecute anonymous BBS posters?

Excellent idea! Smile

Every time a Guest posts here, he/she should be forced to donate 500 $ to AutoHotkey, and on multiple offences, multitudes of 1000 $ (hmm, maybe I can write a script to multiply)

Razz

Just kidding, ofcourse.

Well, not you, you are BoBo Wink

The "Anonymous cowards"... Maybe we should rename the default "Guest" just to make a point Razz

No, I don't care, I like the fact you can post here without registering, but sure it would be nice if those anonymous posters at least type in some distinguishing nick...

This is absolutely ridiculous. At what point did Kentucky become Internet Central Station? The internet is full of tubes. Tubes that extend far beyond the reach of Kentucky's jurisdiction!

Oh, and PS. The Constitution guarantees my right to anonymity. That is an undeniableness right I can defend with a gun, if so provoked.
