|
|
I was hoping to run ahk on a win95 platform but with no success
ahk ver 1.0.27.00
processor Intel 100Mhz
diskspace, 1GB
this is the only error I got.
The autohotkey.exe file is linked to missing export COMCTL32.dll:InitCommonControlsEx.
It's probly the os, which I plan on reinstalling this week, but figured I would check this out first, also off subject, crimson editor does not work. and even further off the track, would a 100mz proccessor be able to run XP home ed? or XP edu ed? (drive wouldnt be 1Gb btw) _________________ my lame sig |

The autohotkey.exe file is linked to missing export COMCTL32.dll:InitCommonControlsEx. | Thanks for reporting this. I missed the fact that InitCommonControlsEx() requires "Windows 95/NT with Internet Explorer 3.0". If you or anyone has a version of Windows 95/NT installed without MSIE 3.0+, maybe you could contact me to help find out which other functions give an error.
If no one has such a virgin Windows 95/NT on a PC, I don't consider it a high priority to fix this due to the extreme rarity of such PCs not having the update (either through installing MSIE or other means). |

| If there's any future problems like this, it would help my conscience to see them fixed. I never liked the idea of some features relying on an internet browser, of all things. Of course, the reality is that most people will have it anyway, and it's completely transparent... but it's just the principle of it. I don't need to start a M$ rant, you know what I mean. |

| I fixed the first issue in today's update. If you get a chance to run the latest version on a fresh install of Win95 that lacks MSIE 3.x, please let me know if there are any more error dialogs. Thanks. |
