since you asked, AHK is free and can do pretty much anything, therefore AHK
is better. You picked a wrong spot to market your product.

this program is just mentioned in wikipedia in automation programs and I wondered if someone tried it

That was the core of your answer. The rest was needless.
Please don't answer.

So, from your attitude guys, I guess that anybody asking for some comparison between AHK and any non-open source, paid automation product would be deemed as a marketing spammer, right ? No chance at all about some genuine curiosity ?

Since when is it heretical to open such thread for comparison sakes ?!?

I guess that I must be an idiot, too, since I really don't get it, then.

buy.

Similar story when news of Prism came about...

Mozilla Prism and the disingenuous web wrote:
So, I guess the thing I found odd was Mozilla appears to be building something very similar to Adobe AIR (which is fine and cool), but somehow it is inherently good when Mozilla [open source] does it, and inherently evil when Adobe [proprietary] does it.
At the end of the day, businesses exist to make money, which when all said and done is the basic description of it all. The public sector such as governments, schools, education centres, and individuals would be more interested in open source developments as it's readily available at no cost or technological barrier, and they can be sure that the developers' hold their consumers best interests at the very top of their agenda. The debate over proprietary vs. free software is one that has been going on for decades. While both have their strengths and weaknesses, open source advocates (ahk users) don't take kindly to commercial competition. The converse is even more true. Therefore I think BoBo was right to point out how ignorant user was.
