I need so help on this one.. I do not even know hwere to start.
My wife plays a online game called Ikariam. It runs in the browser.
She has two characters that she would like to be able to have on screen at the same time so that she can trade resources amongst them.
Everytime she tries to start the second window it replaces the first. Is there someway to stop this from happening? Thye must be monitoring for the other window and closing it.
She is running Vista.
Would something as simple as renaming the first open window work? _________________ StreetRider

Unfortunately, some games actively discourage running two instances of the client on one computer. A web-based (flash or java-based too) game could be detecting other instances of the client by any number of means.
One thing to try is to run the second client under a different user's name and swap users to use both clients. _________________ My Home Thread

I would try running the other copy in another browser. like one in Internet Explorer and the other in Firefox. Thats usually the best way around things such as that. _________________ Steve F AKA Superfraggle

| Needless to say, if they catch you circumventing their anti cheat mechanisms with IP records and whatnot you risk getting banned. This happened to me when I wrote sloppy ahk macros for a particular mmorpg. |

Thank you for the warning Oberon.
I will sugest to her that if she MUST run both then try doing so in seperate browser programs. _________________ StreetRider

If you have something like VMware player, you can run multiple operating systems at a time which will probably solve the problem. _________________ What is real in our infinitely alternating perception of reality? |

Just thought I'd let you know:

All users agree to use only one account per server. So called "Multis", i.e.
users who do not comply with this agreement, can be deleted or
blocked without prior notice. |
