I'm a long time AutoHotkey user, first time poster. Just thought you'd be interested to know of a novel use for AutoHotkey: To help create special effects for a low-budget music video!

This was a song that I recorded and made a video for. The video cost a grand total of... $7.25! Yes, no expense was spared on this one. It was created with construction paper, a black magic marker, glue, a scanner, a paint program, and some freeware video tools.

How AutoHotkey fits into this story: I needed an "earthquake" effect for the end section. I was using a free video editing program called Vdub and couldn't find a plug-in that would do the trick. So I used AutoHotkey to control Paint Shop Pro and make a random earthquake effect for thousands of individual frames.

I use AHK to automate scanning on a regular basis. It can keep track of all your file names and scanner settings, etc.
