Really nice.
Some hints:
1. This Logo is better than the actual one. Nice.
2. BUT the small logos (only the Key-Buttons) are brillant! It would be great if this one replaces the old ugly green "H".
regrads

I would like to see this as well.
It would be nice for tray icons too, however, you would need three versions of the icon by my count.
The Green could replace the standard H, red for the paused script state, but we still would need something to replace the green S for suspended hotkeys.
The tray icon would also be so small that you would likely not be able to read the ahk on the key, but thats not a big deal in my opinion...I have 14 tray icons up right now, and only one of them has any letters at all. |

hey system monitor.
i think your logo is a little bit to turbulent. itīs a quite light font (verdana?)
an you got many effects on it. and the blurry flames do their part. when
you create a logo, you should consider:
-is it readable (even from a far distance)
-does it look good in b/w (maybe you have to print it on a
monochromatic flyer)
-does it still look good, if you have to copy it with a office-copier?
-would it be possible to let it cut (eg for a sticker for the company cars)
and if you do it really professionally, you should do a lot of research, find
out marketing trends, find out about competition, compare with other
logos and so on... but of course this would be a little bit to much for here.
anyway. i do not want to diss you! just give critics. i like the concept. but
maybe you should try to get rid of the blurry parts. try to achieve the
same feeling (fast, hot, out of the boundary) while you do not use more
than 3 or 4 shades of grey. what you need are clear contoures. and i
recommend an other font. try dafont.com. but dont take anythng fancy
or stuff. "basic/sans serif" would be the right category.
but thatīs just my opinion. apprechiate that someone did something!
@bloom2: what do you want to paste to your webheader? and why?

Dear kweso,
I would like to use your logo to cut some stickers for an AHK 'fundraiser' to 'sell' them to gather donation money. If this is OK with you, would you mind providing me the vector-based file? I will PM you with my email info if you don't have a way (or don't wish) to put it on the forums. _________________

donating to who?
ahk? who is ahk?
or to you?
actually iīd prefer to wait if the ahk-creators decide to use it in any way. wether they keep their current logo or not. then iīll give it to them for ahk-related use as long as ahk is for free (which hopefully is for ever).
or have i missed something? are you one of the creators or a developer?

kws
btw: i am "on the road" at the moment. but when iīll come back home, iīll create .ico-files in different colors and post them for everyone to use.. |

I'm splitting my post over to another topic (here) - I can make a logo if you aren't comfortable with me using yours for the purpose mentioned in that thread. I understand and respect your concerns. _________________

just read your other post. well, itīs a nice idea. the only problem is, that this is internet. noone knows anyone. and.. i donīt say that you do.. but there is always the possibility that people donate to your account in order to support ahk but you never intend to give the money to ahk. as i sayd: i donīt think that you are like this. but itīs a possibility..
btw: chris is the inventor and _only_ developer? or is there a ahk-team?
hf
(edit: so letīs see what the people think of your idea and then decide if you do it with my logo...) |
