as i can see here http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=71041&hl=decompile, autoit has no decompiler on purpose. So please respect that!

It's the same way you can hack an ahk exe which has been discussed a few times on the forum already. These topics can be found by searching, or described further in detail on the #autohotkey IRC channel.

If you decompile a program against the explicit wish of itīs programmer, you are disrespecting this programmer, and in some countries you commit a crime, too.

Why donīt you just ask the author for the source?

I see your point ...

In fact , the last that I would like to is someone decompiling my script and using in his own one ... Iam scripter too ( maybe a newbie one ) and I know how it feels when it comes to scripts .

I will only feel disrespected if my name wasnt mentioned in his script ... I know also that its annoying to have the code without the permission of the publisher ... I saw couple of scripters posting their scripts in a new Topic . then , after few days later , a guy would come and say nice script I got it decompiled and it to my friend !! ... and the scripter then wondered why didnt he asked for the code gently ...

Anyway , what Iam trying to say is , I know what Iam into. And I will make sure that no one will be mad at me. Otherwise I would have not asked here in a public forum.

btw , the firt guys who made up that method were the AutoIt themselves !! but people started to use it the wrong way. I will make sure to retrieve that method as well as using it the right way.

thanx for your replies Wink

I'd say yes. There (means somewhere within the Venusian system) could be an Ahk2Au3 converter. BTH, we don't know that for real, so we won't be of much help in this regards. Nevertheless, its expect that it would be a script2script converter, not a decompiler! Bad luck isn't it?!! Laughing
