There are unfixed bugs, feature requests even for version 1. There seems to be no more development work on AHK, so enjoy what you have.

Version 1.0.47.06 was released Mar 9, 2008; how does that translate to no more development. Wink

Does anyone have historical versions of AutoHotkey sourcecode, so we can do a similar graph for delta-LOC?

Chris (the main developer) is taking a (well deserved) time-out...

There are not too many outstanding bugs at the moment, so, this shouldn't be much of a problem.

If you are however eager on bringing AutoHotkey "forward", the source is available, you could always try yourself.

I have come to have incredible respect for what AHK (and the community) can do. AHK has helped me (and I believe many others) professionally as well as personally.

Even if AHK were to become legacy in it's current form, it's still great, but V2 has great potential and I hope it doesn't get abandoned.

...that is great & I imagine needed, but I would make one last request of Chris before he disappears (well completely, that is if the time-out turns into not coming back)...please upload ALL of the current unfinished work...I know you have at least an "offline todo list" & I think you have some of V2 written (maybe not tho)...so I just want to encourage one last upload of everything to do with the current & future state of AHK...so at least someone can continue where you left off, instead of continuing from 1.0.47.06...I would also recommend setting up someone to take over the AutoHotkey.com domain name & hosting bills in case you really don't come back (something catastrophic & you cease paying the bills for any reason)...of course in all that hoping you really do come back...

Can everyone post your last contact with Chris?...via forum, e-mail, IRC...? I never go on IRC, so perhaps Chris is there? I'm almost sure I could e-mail him & maybe get a reply, but I don't really wanna bother him...we can all see his last post date on the forum & we know when the last AHK release was, but what is the last contact date anyone has had with Chris?

I would settle for a Chris's Timeout Update page...like a blog, is he on vacation (actual vacation)?...does he compute but not come to the forums?...it's just so weird & eerie that he disappeared for so long without a "so long" post...I completely understand "burn out"...but I think a little peep once in a while would be reassuring...cuz we just "don't know" what happened...
