I've just noticed that some of the URL's linking to peoples profiles have not displayed properly. I can't see anything wrong with the BBCode syntax |

The links all seem to work but it's shouldn't be showing the whole URL. I've probably added an image tag where it shouldn't be or something. I'm sure it was displaying properly before though.

I've fixed them all now. There was an extra set of image tags with no title on some of the lines for some reason.
e.g.
| Code: | [url=http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2258]Control Winamp via systray icons[/url][url=http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2993][/url] by [url=http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=260]Serenity[/url]

Thanks, Jon |

This topic has not been updated in over 6 months.
I suggest either unsticking it, or someone taking over it (that would not be me -- way too many scripts to maintain the topic).
What do you think? |

Though out-of-date, I think some people find the way it categorizes scripts is quite useful. I realize it's not fair to new scripts that they're all omitted -- so if that's a concern, I could put a notification at the top of this topic indicating when it was last updated.
What I'd eventually like to see is the top 10 or 20% of all scripts -- in terms of usefulness and appealing to the widest number of visitors -- put in a more formal location such as the script showcase. Although I have 5 or 10 scripts already pending, I'm sure I've missed many over the past 6 months that should go in there.
If anyone has an interest in helping to maintain this topic here or the script showcase, please let me know. |

I think that's a good idea -- a top 10%-20% or so would be great, and I might be able to help maintain it.
But how would you know which are the top 10-20%? By popular vote? We could make it so a script would have to get X votes by individual users to get included, or something. But I'm not sure that's such a great idea. What do you think? |

| Quote: | | But how would you know which are the top 10-20%? | It's currently pretty informal. Some scripts obviously belong there and some are so specialized they should probably be kept in the forum to be accessed via keyword search. The hard part is judging the ones in between. However, a good script should get the benefit of the doubt if its author or someone else submits it for posting along with a concise description and documentation.
| Quote: | | By popular vote? ... I'm not sure that's such a great idea. | I tend to agree because voting on all these scripts seems like too much a burden on visitors. One possible exception is if each script were given a poll at the top of its topic. That would make voting easier, though arguably inaccurate because the only ones likely to vote are those who have tried it; such people are likely to vote in its favor because they already had an interest in the script's subject/nature.
Perhaps what would be best is to catogorize the showcase scripts into 5-10 groups to make it easier for visitors to find the type of scripts they want. That would allow a much greater number of scripts to be posted there without too much clutter. |

Sorry for not updating the list for so long. There were so many scripts that have been created since it was last updated that I didn't fancy the idea of sorting through them all
I have just updated the list with all (most) of the scripts that have been posted since the list was last updated. The list has got so long now that I have had to split it over two posts (there must be a post length limit).
There are still quite a few in miscellaneous scripts and some where I am not completely satisfied with the catagory that they are listed under but I can move them all around at a later date.
If I have missed a script or anyone feels that a particular script has been placed in the wrong catagory then please lat me know.
Thanks, Jon |

Dear Jon,
Thanks for the update, wonderful job.
Here are some remarks:
1) In the Autohotkey Related / Scripts sections, you can remove the
"Syntax-Tidy for scripts (indentation and case correction) by toralf" since it is the successor of "Auto-Syntax-Tidy v8 by toralf"
2) Under Tools, you can move "SyntaxTidy contīd by Hajos" up to Scripts under "Auto-Syntax-Tidy v8 by toralf" since it is related to it, but a bit outdated.
3) Could you move "Auto-Compile scripts at start by toralf" just below "Create self-compiling scripts by MikeG"? Since it is the same idea.
4) In Editors section I think you have missspelled "InelliSense II by Rajat"
5) In Audio/CD section, the "Streamripper GUI by toralf" and "Internetradio -> Streamripper GUI by toralf" link to the same post. Remove one.
6) In File/Folder Management and Searching section, the "-: Seek :- Launch program quickly & easily by Phi" is double.
7) In Miscellaneous section the "ToDo v0.1 by AGermanUser" is pointing to an older version of "AHK ToDo-List v0.4.0 by AGermanUser" in the Time and Scheduling section.
8) Could you move the "Icon Viewer v5 + Lite v1 by toralf" from Miscellaneous to Images or File/Folder Management and Searching section?
Thanks again. _________________ Ciao

So this Link can be deleted from that Miscellaneous section.
The BBcompanion v1.0 under http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3736 in Section "Internet / Website / Browser related" can be deleted too I think. The script can't be downloaded any more. I know that, because I tried to contact the author [deXter] quite some time ago (> 1year) and asked him if he let's me take a look at his script cause I started writing my AHK BBCodeWriter at that time.
Sorry to say but I never got an answer.
Cheers
