Hey everybody,

Does anyone know where I can find a downloadable (text file) list of common english words?

Specifically, I am working on a Numpad T9 implementation, and I only found a dictionary at the java site, but it contains way too many weird words.

TIA.

Thanks SKAN, got your list.
I wish there was a T9 specific words list - one that is designed for messaging, and includes some slang words.
Couldnt find one.

It is also weird that "hello" is not among the top 2000 english words, at least judging by the links above... Smile

Thanks a lot SKAN, will check these out.

For now, I have used the java dictionary available as txt file for download.
I have published my AHK implementation of T9 here:
Numpad9 - T9 Input with the Numpad

It came out nice I think.
