Is it possible somehow to send commands over the network to a script running on another computer?
Like you would have one script that was the remote control and the other would be like the TV being controlled _________________

One way would be to append instructions to a file on the remote computer which the remote script monitors for changes and acts accordingly.
Not particularly elegant though, and I too would be looking for something like this as I'd like to control foobar from a remote computer.

Yeah I had thought of that, but I thought I'd ask if there was some other way. _________________
