Is it possible somehow to send commands over the network to a script running on another computer?
Like you would have one script that was the remote control and the other would be like the TV being controlled

One way would be to append instructions to a file on the remote computer which the remote script monitors for changes and acts accordingly.
Not particularly elegant though, and I too would be looking for something like this as I'd like to control foobar from a remote computer.

Yeah I had thought of that, but I thought I'd ask if there was some other way.
