I know how to use the send to tray script and modified it to unhide and unhide all, but is it possibe for autohotkey to hide tray icons for other programs that are not ahk related?

Try taking a look at the WinHide and WinShow commands

I don't know of any direct way to hide another app's tray icon other than an OS or third party solution. However, most apps offer you a way to avoid the tray icon via a configuration option.
