If opening the Coordmode-Helppage you
have (on yellow background) the line
"CoordMode, ToolTip|Pixel|Mouse [, Screen|Relative]"
BUT below on the
param1-box you show as parameters
"ToolTip,Pixel,Mouse,Caret,Menu"
I think it would be more convienient to change the first line to
"CoordMode, ToolTip|Pixel|Mouse|Caret|Menu [, Screen|Relative]"
I am not sure if I am right here
=============================================
You have the WinMove-command that is used to move AND Resize
a window. Maybe it would be more convienient to add a command
WinSize that only is used to rezize a window (WinMove of course
can hold the old behaviour [for backwards-compatility]). If you don't
think so, I would suggest yo add the word "WinSize" to the Help-File-Index
that also directly leads to the WinMove-Help-Page. If a user wants to
know how to resize a window he finds the needed command more easy.
==============================================
| Code: |
CoordMode, Mouse, Screen
MouseClick, L, 35, A_Screenheight-15,,50
|
Rather simple it should click the Start-Button. I find it somewhat curious,
that on my system(XP-Home) when the mouse comes near the startbutton the Waiting-cursor occurs (with the hourglass).
When moving the mouse from hand there is no Waiting-Cursor.
It is independent from using an expression for the xy_pos and independent from the mouse-Speed. ?????? _________________ Wer keine Antworten hat muss nicht dumm sein,

I added this post here, so i don't need a new thread for each:
| Code: |
ControlGetFocus, OutputVar [WinTitle, WinText, ExcludeTitle, ExcludeText]
|
Is there missing a comma ??? _________________ Wer keine Antworten hat muss nicht dumm sein,

When going to the GUI-Page in the Help-File
you have two (equal) lists near the top of the page that
both have pageinternal down-links to the controls that
can be added to a GUI.
I am not sure, but shouldn't you add a Downlink
pointing to the MENU-Section?
I think a Menu is not a common control, but it
is somehow ADDED to GUI.
=======================================
I tried to find infos in the help-file how to build more than
one GUI (in one script). Maybe there is some info in the help-file
(I remember there was something about this somewhere),
but I found nothing when I was searching for this info
(what means it is hard to find).
A short example and some notes should be added to the
GUI-Page.
Ok, thats all for today.
P.S. I have read the answers for my Loop-upgrades.
Maybe some day I have a good idea. _________________ Wer keine Antworten hat muss nicht dumm sein,

| Quote: | | I am not sure, but shouldn't you add a Downlink pointing to the MENU-Section? | There's one in the table of contents called "Menu". Since Menu isn't used with the "Gui Add" command, it would probably be confusing to including a link in the controls section.
| Quote: | I tried to find infos in the help-file how to build more than
one GUI (in one script) ... but I found nothing when I was searching for this info | It's intentionally less prominent because the need to create more than one GUI per script is deemed uncommon. But near the bottom of the TOC, there's an item called multiple windows that you can click on.
| Quote: | | A short example and some notes should be added to the GUI-Page. | There is a two-line example in the section mentioned above.
I know some things are hard to find in the documentation. In the particular cases mentioned above, I think its justifiable because obscure features should get less prominence than commonly used features. However, please continue to report things that are hard to find or that should be linked to other sections of the documention. I know the docs still have many weak areas.
Thanks. |

May be there was a little missunderstanding (my english is
not good enough) about the two equal
Control-Downlink-Blocks near the top of the GUI-Helppage.
I don't want them removed, I meant it would be useful to
add a MENU-Downlink to them.
Ok, I am a AHK-newbie and I wanted to know how to add a menu
to a GUI. So I was looking in the GUI-Helppage, bacause I
was knowing there are explained all controls that are added to
a GUI. I was thinking " A menu is also added to a gui" so this is
the right place to search for the info. But in this block of links
(I often used to get info on how to add controls to a GUI) I missed
the MENU-Link.
There is the Menu-info on the GUI-page, but you only find it with
a lot of scrolling. So I thought adding a Menu-Downlink would be
useful. But if you think its confusing, bacause e menu is not used
with the ADD-command its ok for me. _________________ Wer keine Antworten hat muss nicht dumm sein,

You've made a good point. Although I don't see a way to logically fit it in the "Add" section, I have linked several occurrences of the word menu and "menu bar" to the menu section, and added a "menu bar" entry in the index.
One other tip that might help is that if you click anywhere on the right side of the help file window, you can press Control-F to find a keyword such as "menu" on the current page. I believe this is because the MS HTML Help system is basically an MSIE browser window. |
