total vagueness + speculation = advertisement ?
advertisement + open competition = definitive comparisons
software-development gang-mentality = juvenile
open-source = cooperation
related thread:
http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3216
The common description of all the negative commentators against AutoHotkey is that they unfortunately know little or nothing of the definition of Open-Source. In addition, much deserved credit is openly acknowledged of AutoIt in AutoHotkey's helpfile, and even the link to AutoIt's website is placed at the very top in plain view. Any coherent "theories of speculation" as to whatever strange happenings may be going on, referred to in the vague discussion thread posted by guest Chauncy, will take these things into consideration.

You know, this whole war could be brought to an end if Jon would just approve that darn hook...
A merger would be heavenly. |

Just read the thread on the AutoIt Forum...
How 'paranoid' can one get?
Rajat is probably right...

Sorry to ask that but where is the problem between AutoHotKey and AutoIt3?
I also didn't like when someone blames AutoHotKey for something.
It's the same story like with other things: the problem is not the language/community but this one only person.
I think all the people who start such discussions are going to school or react like childs -> really stupid.
If someone wants to use AutoIt3 then he should use it and if he wants to use AutoHotKey then he is also welcome
Both of them have their advantages and disadvantages, you like this and another likes that...
Maybe there are often discussions between the 'right' developement environment: MS Visual C++ or Borland Delphi - I don't know.
Such comparisons are not needed.
Just my opinion. |
