|
|
Hi there,
started to use Autohotkey some days ago and stumbled over the fact, that i don't seem able to control the pop-up windows of ZoneAlarm. Since all the other windows respond properly, I'm under the impression, that something is wrong.
Any suggestion to overcome this problem would be appreciated! |

Someone sent me an e-mail saying ZoneAlarm has a protection feature that makes it ignore artificial keystrokes. There is a setting in ZoneAlarm to turn this protection off.
Alternatively, you could try ControlSetText, ControlSend, and the other Control commands. |

Thanks for the reply. I tried finding any setting in ZoneAlarm wich would allow me to allow the acceptance of artificial keystrokes, but unfortunately couldn't find any.
Also the usage of the control commands didn't work. So if there are any more ideas around I would be gratefule for it.
Thanks a lot |

| You might try contacting Zone Alarm tech support because someone mentioned that they received a solution involving a setting in Zone Alarm (perhaps a newer version of Zone Alarm is required to see this feature). |

| From the main control screen, click on the Preferences Tab. In the General section, uncheck "Protect the ZoneAlarm client". Close the window and you're all set. Keep in mind, though, if you can send artificial keystrokes to ZA, the baddies can too. |
