|
|
| I was wondering if there is anyway to shorten the notification email that is sent when using the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option. This is because I have the notification send me as text message, but the email is long enough that I get 4 text messages per notification. |

I don't think that will work (unless we get a version of AHK I can put on my phone ). I have my AHK account set up to notify me when one of my posts is responded to; but rather than send this message to my email, I have it sent to my phone as a text message. Because of the length of the message, I receive 4 text messages per post response. I would like to only receive 1 test message, and the only way I can think to do this would be to receive a shorter message (< 150 characters). |

If you choose to have your notification-emails send to a free email-provider like www.gmx.com ,
you could use their auto-forwarding-feature.
For gmx i know for shure, that you can shorten the messages, but i suspect that other providers offer this feature, too. |

Could you tell me how to do this? I currently have it set to notify me via text when I receive and email - which is ok, but it's a generic notification and doesn't tell me the email subject. _________________

Sorry, i use the german interface, so i canīt give you exact instructions, but
basicly you need to create a filter.
then you need to adjust the options for the "notify per e-mail"-action, to only send the desired parts. |

I moved this topic to wish list, since it has to do with a forum request. _________________
