Google Chrome Frame - Chrome in IE browser

Quote:
Google Chrome Frame is an early-stage open source plug-in that seamlessly brings Google Chrome's open web technologies and speedy JavaScript engine to Internet Explorer.

With Google Chrome Frame, you can:

Start using open web technologies - like the HTML5 canvas tag - right away, even technologies that aren't yet supported in Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8.

Take advantage of JavaScript performance improvements to make your apps faster and more responsive.

Use cf: as a prefix to use the Chrome frame.

You can use the Developer Tools (Right-click -> Inspect Element) from within a frame.

Cool

Now I'm hoping for the same from the privacy-safe Iron browser version of Chrome/Chromium.

I like the concept but there is one inherent flaw with this product. The people still using IE are not the people who would know/care to install a plugin into IE that changes the way the site is displayed. The install base of this is going to be primarily who don't use IE as their primary and just want to try it out.

Just wait until Google switches Youtube to HTML 5 and shows a link to the plugin for IE users.

They will rush to install it. Youtube is power over the people.
