It should be known that on Windows Vista SoundSet only works for the program itself instead of for the system volume like on xp. this is why i used the compatibility modus on vista:

right click on the exe -> compatibility -> compatibility modus: windows xp (service pack 2)

now i wanted to do the same on windows 7 and set it also to windows xp (service pack 3) and also tested the setting windows xp (service pack 3). the result is that i get the uac dialog when i execute the program. this wasn't this way on vista and i'm confused about it. is it the same on your pc? if it asks for higher rights all the time, what is the separate option "run this program as an administrator" for?

When the c-modus is active, there is also the targe overlay on the programs icon which indicates that the program needs higher rights. if the modus is not active, the overlay is not displayed:

I have the same behavior. :/

Would it be possible to have another function like "soundset" for Seven which does not need this XP compatibility ?
