|
|
I'm running Windows Vista 32 bit with Aero visual feathures enabled.
Every so often I get a green transparent progressbar show up in the control of the W.E. that holds the current path.
When this occurs, almost all work comes to a screaching halt.
More accurately, the W.E. interface just stops responding to keyboard and mouse. It appears that input from these sources is buffered, because it appears some/all the actions occur after the progressbar is gone.
Even more to frustrating is that other running programs will suffer this way: notepad & I.E. as examples.
Can someone shed light on this situation. And where to control/cancel this "thing" ?
I have done various web searches with no results.
Answers much appreciated.

this happens on my computer too. that progressbar is usually to indicate that the content of that window is loading, either because something else is accessing the hard drive, or because it's waiting on the network (when looking at network shares)
do you happen to be running activesync? _________________

Nope. Just a folder level within "My Documents". It also happens with flash drives, and a large USB harddrive for data backup |

Any suggestions on how to do this on a folder basis?
Most of the time I use "view details".
Sometimes I want to see a thumbnail of a picture to pick the right one.
Hmm, with WinXP I sometimes got a message about copying thumbnails, maybe this is related to that. |
