I am searching for a Voice to text program for dictation. It needs to be accurate and free. Long seaches of the web return no free results. If anyone knows where I can find one, or knows the name of one, Please Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Speech pages at Carnegie Mellon University

Sphinx homepage (Java, Open Source)

Sphinx is quite hefty in size, but I guess that is almost inavoidable with Speech Recognition...

Or, you could take a look at the Microsoft SAPI engines (4 for 9.x-2k (in default install), 5.1 for XP(in default install))

Also interesting: MBROLA Text-To-Speech engine
