I have been trying to make a script to totally kill and then easily resurrect the taskbar. The mechanism I'm using hides it and switches autohide on and off.

Te method is from people on this thread:

But using this method, the taskbar sometimes reappears.

There was a little tool called KaneBT Taskbar Hider that's now here:

His method kills it very reliably. It never pops back up unless you hit his quickkey to do it. On a different discussion, someone said something about him breaking the process strings, but i don't know what that means.

The reason I'm trying to duplicate it is to trigger the toggle with a hot corner. I've done it fine but with the method that just hides it but doesn't kill it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
