I have read the FAQ and searched the forums.

After installing AHK and I open the app nothing happens. It's neigther in the
Task manager nor the Taskbar. I have tried reinstalling it a few times but nothing happens. It worked for a while a few days ago, but then the icon in the Taskbar disappeared....since then, nothing.

What to do, anyone?

The app icon shows for a split second in the right side of the Taskbar before disappearing. Frustrating. Close but no cigar. Confused

Go to your my documents folder or to your autohotkey folder and look for autohotkey.ahk or autohotkey.ini file. Perhaps the script file is "empty" e.g. no script is running try adding a simple command and run the script (not AutoHotkey.exe) - look at UAC as well?
