But, here are a few famous Hungarian mathematicians: Bolyai (hyperbolic geometry), von Neumann (Hilbert's 5th problem, computer science), Riesz, Fejer, Fejes-Toth, Erdös (the traveling ambassador of math), Renyi, Turan, Hajos, Polya, Szegö, Lovasz, Szemeredi, Hajnal… You should have heard at least a couple of these names. |
