I don't know if it's even possible but could you add a Gui control from an external source like a java applet from a website? If so, how?

That kind of behavior is only present in a web browser. And before you shout out, "Active Desktop, dude!," I should warn you that I have a practiced rant about the evils of the shell integration Mr. Gates was daft enough to introduce in IE.

Oh it can be done, I know several different windows-clients that have java-controls in them... just wanted to know if it could be done in ahk.

Sorry, I mis-worded it... of course it can be done, how would web browsers do it?

It's a good idea. Although it's a little outside the scope of the project at the moment, someday it would be nice to support custom controls.
