After performing a full scan on my system, the virus checker reported the following.
________________________

# C:\Program Files\AutoHotkey\Compiler\AutoHotkeySC.bin

* File was infected with "W32/Trojan.BXEX" virus and was unable to be disinfected. File was deleted instead.

AutoHotkeySC.bin Is this a genuine AutoHotkey file?? Is it possible it was infected when I downloaded it, or has it been infected since???

To the best of my knowledge AutoHotkeySC.bin is an integral part of AHK. It is a file that I have seen with all new versions of AHK. I think your computer must have already had this virus, which somehow latched onto the AHK program.

AHK (the Program), AHK (the Website) and all the rest that goes with it is virus-free. So Enjoy!

Cheers!!!

The binary contents of that file contains a hook which might be seen as Trojan by some virus scanners.

It is a false alarm. Report it to the anti-virus provider.

Not accusing Chris of anything. But don't you think someone that was creating a Trojan in a freeware would give out a fake source?

I have faced a lot of problems with the Open sourced LimeWire.
There could be a reason that its vulnerabilities are exposed owing to open source. :)

AutoHotkey is not a network program and more importantly it isn't programmed in Java, so they're worlds apart. If you want something more stable try utorrent.

Bit Che is a good torrent searching program.

EDIT: Added the space so you don't get the vulgar links when googling it.
