I almost forget to tell everyone about this !
Qanat, The MPlayer Stream Recorder Frontend, v0.5.
<!-- m -->http://djbarney.silentflame.com/qanat/<!-- m -->
The MPlayer people kindly posted it in their list of windows projects.
Although I wrote it to record NASA TV I've mainly been using it to save audio streams. It could do with a facelift ... a graphical background maybe, but overall I'm happy with it. It says a lot about AHK that I wrote this fairly fast even though I was new to AHK when I started.
I could have hidden the DOS windows, but you really need to be able to see the output of MPlayer.

Here's a new version of my util with an updated interface and better functionality. The location of MPlayer is now remembered amongst other tweaks.

Did you know that you can capture the output of MPlayer directly into your AHK GUI?: CMDret - AHK functions, or CMDret - return output from console progs [DLL version]

1. Read the tutorial and try the examples. -> 2. Take a look at the command list to get an idea of what you could do. -> 3. Create your script. Consult the documentation and the FAQ if you get stuck. -> 4. Search the forum if you need help or examples, method 1 (forum), method 2 (site), method 3 (Google). -> 5. Post your code on the forum in the "Ask for Help" section if you still run into problems (but read this first). -> 6. There is more AHK on autohotkey.net and the Wiki and there is an AHK IRC chat.
Q. Why are the DOS windows visible ?
A. They could have been hidden but then the user cannot see the titles displayed for the currently playing song. It is also useful to be able to see what's going on, and some users want to do things at the command line after the recording has finished or is terminated with CTRL-C.

Wow. Thanks. I guessed that it was possible somehow, but I don't have a lot of time to develop so my current solution is just the simplest.
I will think about putting that in a 0.7 version
