Introducing SmartGUI+ : Generating AHK code faster with less learning curve and more plug and play solutions.
Based on Rajat's SmartGUI Creator
Example GUI Generated with SmartGUI+
(1) Saves user settings
(2) Loads saved values on reload
(3) Buttons already have icons
(4) Basic Main Menu Options
(5) Tray Menu Options with Icons
Time to Build: Less than a Minute :-)
I setup a web page - SmartGUIPlus.Net - to post the latest changes I'm making with screen shots and how-to's. I recommend reading this before getting started.
Download SmartGUI+ ( Alpha v5.00 )
It's far from finished but it's slowly getting there - Feedback encouraged :-)
***Edit*** This release is basically my portable GUI editor collection that I take to and from work, so I keep everything in the same project folder. I trimmed down some of the unnecessary but there are definitely some unneeded parts in this release. I wanted to go ahead and post what I have so far to get some feedback/help, so take this release for what it is if you care to - its 26 MB zipped at the moment

Quite a big project! I really wish you good luck on it, I might try it the next time I need to write a GUI.

Right on man! I was wondering when someone would be brave enough to step up to the plate and take over smart gui! (Not that it wasn't useful already or anything like that).
I'll definitely have to give it a spin.

Never lose.
WIN or LEARN.

tank: Yeah I saw that posted yesterday :-) I'll likely end up playing with theirs at some point (with google translator to help). I've already put a lot into this for my own purposes so I'll likely continue, but it's worth a look

I love it. This should keep life energy flowing to AHK and enable more apps. I'm excited about your work!

I appreciate the comments, I'll try to post a version soon if anyone wants to play with it. There is still a ton to do but some parts are getting there.

This project looks awesome! By the way:
Just to let you know that AutoHotkey Basic is no longer the "standard AHK release". AHK_L is listed before AHK_Basic in the official download page. It is even promoted as the latest AutoHotkey version.I am all for the AHK_L advances as I have use for multi-platform coding down the road, but at this point my focus for SmartGUI+ is the standard AHK release. One day down the road I look forward to making this project forward compatible where possible.

Is this written in AutoHotkey or another language? I noticed a lot of custom looking controls. Thats not too common in AHK scripts.

fincs: thanks for the note about the release version. I hate that I'm getting into this during a version split.. I intend to build the first version in Basic and work toward compatibility with L.
Frankie: everything shown on the web page preview is all AHK, originally written by Rajat I'm just expanding on it.
