To those asking for variable width:
I have noted several times now that the whole website (except forum and wiki) is completely skin-able and although I haven't completed any other designs yet (or even the default design come to think of it), variable width will be available before the new site goes live. Unfortunately I cannot please everyone all of the time and I've got more support for the current fixed width design to be the default unless changed by the end user than the variable width design.

It's like a democracy, more people want one thing than another, so I'm just going with majority. (before you say that there aren't many posts here, I communicate with a lot of other members by PM and in the irc channel)

I've only got so much time on my hands to volunteer for this and all of my effort is actually concentrated on getting the back-end cms working so it generates pages correctly and securely.

Please don't take this post as 'having a go' or 'flaming'. I am fully open to user contribution and discussion, but this point has been brought up and answered several times now and I'd really rather get on with discussing more important points than the width of the page.

I understand now. However you asked for it:

I would very much like comments and feedback on the current design before I do any more work on it.

We can only see the front end so that is all we can comment on. I would like to try the back end when you get that far. Do you have it setup for multiple user accounts? How complex is it? Does it have reversion and approval? Etc.

Also if I get a chance I will try to make a some styles for the front end.

Sorry I've been out of the game for a while. I've been moving home, which has been stressful to say the least. I have also had work issues.

But I've been doing some work on the new site today.

You can see it at:
<!-- m -->http://test.autohotkey.com<!-- m -->

You can view the todo list here:
<!-- m -->http://test.autohotkey.com/todo.php<!-- m -->

I noticed the todo link is broken and the flags are not showing up in all pages. That may have been on your todo already though.

Try lowercase: <!-- m -->http://test.autohotkey.com/todo.php<!-- m -->

Yeah sorry, should have been in lowercase. I have changed the Content Management System to have only one flag on each page (the current language) that will link to a page to change the language. I have only generated the homepage with the new code, so the other pages still have all the flags.

Keep the suggestions coming!

I don't really like the single flag idea, unless space is needed. It's less for practical reasons than it is to show "We are AutoHotkey, and we support all these languages."

Would it be possible to keep the _L docs on autohotkey.com? They seem to get lower priority on autohotkey.net making finding them via google harder especially if you don't know what you're looking for. An alternative would be putting a link in the 'related' section that links to the _L equivalent (If you're comfortable editing the basic docs).

Glad to see you're continuing your work on the site. It's much appreciated :)

I'm with Frankie on every single point, especially the _L docs.

Also, can the search box be docs only by default?

great work on the site :)

I think it might be easiest if it was possible to toggle between the docs. Either by a combobox and a cookie, or by separate links to the docs.

Any thought of making a mobile version of the site for smartphones?

It might be the easiest to read site as is. No pictures or annoying js/flash popups. From my droid (which I happen to be using atm) I don't see much room for improvement.

Will there be a new logo for the wiki?

btw, if the link to the main forums changes, it should be updated there at some point.
