To show the former script works: View it in action (Flash):

Did you use the cwebpage.dll provided in the download?

Yes. Executed using: IE 6 (6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519)

Hmm.

When do you get the errormessage? After pressing the 'Start Hooking' button, I guess? Weird...

Tip: If you are experiencing problems with the cwebpage.dll, use Dependency Walker to look for errors.

Please adapt the cw_JSlib.js file as follows (around line 80), and try again:

// Write the value to cookie
function cw_writeCookie(value)
{
cw_createCookie('cw_cookie',value);
cw_setTimeout('cw_deleteCookie()', 200); // autodelete
}

change it to

// Write the value to cookie
function cw_writeCookie(value)
{
cw_createCookie('cw_cookie',value);
setTimeout('cw_deleteCookie()', 200); // autodelete
}

or comment it out:

// Write the value to cookie
function cw_writeCookie(value)
{
cw_createCookie('cw_cookie',value);
//setTimeout('cw_deleteCookie()', 200); // autodelete
}

Done. Error message didn't show up. But there's no output at all.

Please download and try edited version. Download all you need.

If you experience problems, please tell me the version of your Internet Explorer, and the Windows OS you use.

NB: If you switch pages in the webbrowser control, you'd need to stop and start the hooking to get the data again.

Hmm, ok - for IE6 Active Scripting needs to be enabled, that might be the source of BoBo's problems...

Here is a q&d-script to do just that:

; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182569

key = Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3
sub = 1400

; Try reading key
RegRead, aKey, HKCU, %key%, %sub%
If (!ErrorLevel) ; Exists
{
  If (aKey = 0)
  {
  MsgBox, 48
        , Active Scripting - Enabled
        , Active Scripting is already enabled.
  ExitApp
  }
  Else
  {
    MsgBox, 52
          , Active Scripting - Disabled/Prompt
          , Active Scripting is disabled or set to prompt.`n`nEnable it?`n`nFirst close all instances of Internet Explorer...
    IfMsgBox Yes ; Try writing key
    {
      RegWrite, REG_DWORD, HKCU, %key%, %sub%, 0
      If ErrorLevel ; Error
      {
        MsgBox, 16
              , Registry Write Error
              , Could not create the registry key.`n`nCheck your access level. Quitting.
        ExitApp ; Quitting
      }
    }
  }
}
Else ; Error, does not exist, or no rights to read
{
  MsgBox, 52
        , Not found Error
        , The registry key could not be found or not be read.`n`nCheck your access level. Quitting.
  ExitApp
}
ExitApp ; Quitting

As far as IE7 concerns, I don't have it installed, and I don't plan on installing it yet either. I will create a VM with IE7 to test it someday, but don't count on it, and it might be possible this does not work at all with IE7 (or it is a security setting).

Checked. Was enabled. Downloaded & executed the new/fixed release. Still not working. JFYI. 8)
