Don't hold your breath Putin
A Russian court has ruled that Google owes Russian media stations around $20 decillion in fines for blocking their content, and the fines could get bigger.
To put that into perspective, the World Bank estimates global GDP as around $100 trillion, which is peanuts compared to the prospective fine.
Google might be one of the most valuable businesses on the planet, but even if Sundar Pichai rummages around the back of the sofa he won't be able to raise the funds to pay the penalty.

also a DOS command can be dangerous ...
microsoft defender deleted my text-file with ahk scripts which was useless. But you can exclude txt or ahk files or also folders ...

Insecure software makers are the real cyber villains ... but not ahk , you must know which commands you want to use , also like MS DOS commands , xy.bat etc

CISA boss: Makers of insecure software are the real cyber villains
Write better code, urges Jen Easterly. And while you're at it, give crime gangs horrible names like 'Evil Ferret'
"The truth is: Technology vendors are the characters who are building problems" into their products,
which then "open the doors for villains to attack their victims," declared Easterly during a Wednesday keynote address at Mandiant's mWise conference.
"Despite a multi-billion-dollar cyber security industry, we still have a multi-trillion-dollar software quality issue leading to a multi-trillion-dollar global cyber crime issue"
Even calling security holes "software vulnerabilities" is too lenient, she added.
This phrase "really diffuses responsibility.
We should call them 'product defects,'" Easterly said.
And instead of automatically blaming victims for failing to patch their products quickly enough, "why don't we ask: Why does software require so many urgent patches?
While no one would buy a car or board an airplane "entirely at your own risk," we do that every day with the software that underpins America's critical infrastructure, she added.

In other words, 55/69 out of 69 vendors say it’s safe, and as you’ve pointed out, there’s no convincing some of them because they have no interest in being logical about it. Because AHK can/has been used to create malware, therefore AHK should be flagged is the kind of intellectual dishonesty that exposes them for what they are — lazy and/or unethical. You giving them so much credibility and acting like the sky is falling because an unethical industry continues to act unethically is the only story here, in my opinion.

You’re acting as if v1 doesn’t have its own history of false positives, especially as new versions have been released. Making this a v2-specific issue is really not understanding the history of AHK at all.
The average person freaks out even when there are 1-2 false positives. There's no point in bringing up credibility and ethics because they don't matter when it comes to the issue I am raising. It is simple. People use the tool to scan things, they see red color and then game over. What about companies? Do you really think any reasonable IT department would see 10+ flags on VirusTotal and then just say: "looks good to me, let's disable the antivirus and just install the software!" Most of the time the tool will be dismissed without further consideration. Or do you think they will all be super reasonable, go look at the history of AutoHotkey, check out its code, its forum messages?

Maybe you have been sitting in the AutoHotkey community for too long where everyone just trusts and agrees with everything AutoHotkey does. I think you should stop making excuses and look at the real world. If you want the application to be usable, these issues have to be addressed. If things don't improve, nobody is going to be stupid enough to invest time in learning a tool that will be blocked in most companies or by most antivirus vendors and only works with disabling the antivirus.

allowed (?) , but not usual ... eating cats and dogs in Switzerland

---------------------
https://alionswitzerland.com/do-the-swiss-eat-dogs-and-cats/
-- Do the Swiss eat dogs and cats? - Ali on Switzerland
One of the stranger stereotypes to pop up on the internet is that hundreds of thousands of the Swiss eat dogs and cats (the latter supposedly being cooked with thyme for Christmas dinner in Switzerland).
Is there any truth to this?
Apparently (and surprisingly) a tiny bit yes, but nothing near the level that news reports say.
It seems that it was historically not uncommon in rural areas, but today most Swiss people wouldn’t even think it was a real practice let alone take part in it.
---
08.09.2023 =
You should also note that while eating your pet cat or dog is (regrettably) allowed in Switzerland, selling cat or dog meat is not.
This also means that you are not allowed to buy cat or dog meat off a friend.

https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-30205410 / 26 November 2014
-- Stop eating cats and dogs say animal rights campaigners in Switzerland - BBC News
Hundreds of thousands of Swiss people eat cat and dog meat say activists, who want the practice to be made illegal.
"We especially see it in the regions of Lucerne, Appenzell, Jura and in the canton of Bern"
Dog meat goes mostly into making sausages and a fatty remedy for rheumatism.

anyone aware of a chinese close-source AHK alike called "quicker"? https://getquicker.net/

someone say use quicker with ahk,
someone say it's a clone

my comment is, AHK seems more stick /w keyboard, are about combinations of keys/replacement
quicker use mouse, with a click you can do something.

quicker support C++ programming? (somthing like that), so i think it's not a copy of ahk source and re-brand.

it's a paidware but if it do the work, why not pay?

ps: ahk works well for me, i just want better.
Huh never heard of it... weird... theyve been around for at least 6 years according to the github page here
https://github.com/cuiliang/Quicker
it's from another world, red china.
they dont know autohotkey exist too.

btw i just wanna upload a gif to demo how useful the launchQ/E/Filter could be when using mindmanager.
Image hope you can see the gif.

the mindmanager support a lot of key combinations, but the UI itself didn't help much.

with ahk 's GUI, one can write a floating toolbar oneself.

Re: « What's on your mind? »

let's dont argue the use of LLMs here,

some take drugs, some dont.

i use LLMs, others dont.

we just discuss the code here.

btw, i emailed QAP's author that his program is too bulky,
and wanna ask if he wanna co-operate.
but he is like other FOSS programmers,
he is the bill-gates of his own project,
so he stay on this own.

after experienced a lot of benefit from foss,
i found dual licensing is a good idea,
i just dont have time to tidy up the code to dual license it on github.

Oh, so you mean your settings for QAP can sync with your other PCs as well? If so, that's really cool :+1:
My script is alike QAP, i wrote a 2nd GUI for launchQ as QAP is too bulky.
and my script can have the data on remote server or local.

however, one need to use launchQ to add/remove items, and then USE my script daily.
i am sure no ordinary user would like this,
so i have to modify someway before i will dual license it.

btw, claude 3.5 sonnect seems better at programming and sometimes in medicine than gpt4.

i have 2-3 monitors, gpt4 i tried it cant help me to flip/move the GUI to another monitor,
but yesterday i tried claude 3.5, it take only 1-2 times to do so.
it did made some error like % at the end of line etc.

ps: ahk v1
