Please allow me to take the liberty of bypass the rules and make a reboot so that the whole question-and-answer cycle can start again by overcoming the current impasse which it finds itself with the last question, difficult to address the way I asked it, it seems.

On a side note, here's a MsgBox that displays nothing:

Code: Select all

MsgBox % ""

This sentence is false.
A:
I would say quite naively that 'this', being a deictic, refers actually to a sentence - in the best of cases - in a given context and for a given people. So, I would say that, once extracted from the spoken chain and from the hic et nunc in which it is stated, this sentence cannot be evaluated as true or false. The same applies, as I see it, if 'this' is centripetal, targets the sentence itself.
Q:
Does non-being is and, if so, in what sense, where does it come from? In other words, how to interpret things such as the possible, the death, the absence of a person or even a form (Gestalt) vs its background etc.?

@burque505, please follow the game rules. don't just answer w/e you want, answer the one above you and only that one. then ask a question.
Q: Is free-will real or is it a deterministic universe?
A: Free Will(y) is/was real. Unfortunately the story isn't so happy. TL;DR, Keiko (Willys name) had a bunch of medical issues, broken fin, skin virus, etc. Got raised, fixed up and released. a month after finally becoming free, died of pneumonia. The universe determined Keiko should live a horrible life then die.

Q: Can you even?

Q: Is philosophy a waste of time or is it the highest level of what the human mind kind reach and know?
A: I am sure the answer to the question is a philosofical one (The previous sentence IS the answer to the question)

Q: What is the difference between soul and spirit?
A: Soul is more of a tangible concept if that is even possible... Spirit is more like... "way to go, that's the spirit!"

However calling a soul something tangible sounds impossible, I think Soul if more of a sacred term in which it is spoken of as your most valuable asset, your essence and it is inherently good.

A spirit can be I guess, a ghost but doesn't have that goodness necessarily attached to it.

I don't really believe in either but If I would pick to believe in one it would be to believe in souls but not spirits or ghosts. I don't know.. I feel like I contradicted myself with the above.. but those are my thoughts.

Q: Do you believe in ghosts?
A: It's like they say
If there's something strange
In your neighborhood
Who you gonna call?

Answer a question, ask a question

The rules are simple:
The person above you will ask a question, after you answer it, ask the next question.
Idealy in this format
Only post answers to the above question and then a questions. Feel free to google for an accurate answer, be funny, tell a backstory, whatever.

Q: Do you believe in ghosts?
